Taking Stock

Making: A granny square blanket. I'm way out of practice and my tension is off. All the squares are wonky. Oh whale.
Cooking: Lunch for Noie. Cucumber and frozen nuggets. That's hardly cooking, but if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.
Drinking: Water. Water. Water. More WATER.
Reading: A few books about being a better step parent. I live for self help books.
Wanting: To be thinner.
Looking: At Noie play, play, play.
Playing: House.
Wasting: Time on Tumblr. I spend too much time on the internet. Blah.
Sewing: Nothing, ever.
Wishing: For understanding. For consistency. For unconditional love.
Enjoying: My last week with Noie before he goes to his dads for the Summer.
Waiting: For my little to get home. I miss her every day that she is at school.
Liking: Hot bubble baths. Extra bubbles. Candles & a bath color for fun.
Wondering: Why it's always the same.
Loving: The color Red. Really, really love RED.
Hoping:  For understanding. For consistency. For unconditional love.
Marveling: At how quickly my little's pick things up. & When they don't, they consistent in trying to figure it out. It makes me a proud mama.
Needing: Understanding. Consistency. Unconditional love.
Smelling: Bright Crystal perfume. Smells like Heaven.
Wearing: An over sized sweatshirt. I'm hating anything touching my body these days. It feels suffocating. (This is as true now as it was then)
Following:  The new doggy around the house, a million times a day to make sure he doesn't chew on naughty things. Feels an awful lot like having a newly crawling baby, but faster!
Noticing: That it's always the same.
Knowing: That it's always the same.
Thinking: That it's always the same.
Feeling: Sad today, really sad.
Bookmarking: New recipes to try.
Opening: Myself up only to be disappointed. Again.
Giggling: Less. More. Less. More. I don't know.
Feeling: Discontent.

Eye Doctor

Audrey's eyes were checked at her 5 year old appointment and they we were told that she needed to see an eye specialist. Eep! We went and she we're told that shes only 20/25. So while that's obviously not perfect eye sight, she will be okay for at least another year before she needs glasses.

Worst part? They had to dilate her eyes by putting drops in her eyes. She FLIPPED out. It was absolutely horrible. I had to hold her down while she screamed "Mom, don't do this!" Ugh. I know I had to so they could check her eyes but it really hurt my heart, & definitely made me tear up. My poor little.

Elf on the Shelf

Some of our favorites. By the time Christmas came, I was so sick of this guy! Haha. Noie loved it, Audrey was skeptical but I can't wait to do it again next year. With more ideas. Thanks Pinterest!

Every year, my best friend of ten years comes back into town around Christmas time. Thennnn I drive 4+ hours to Houston to see her!

I had a really ahhhmazing 3 day vacation with her! Getting drunkkkk(which only happens once a year) and getting matching tattoos & nails! Neattt!
